Police Records

The Boonton Township Police Department Records Division maintains all of the department's incident and arrest reports, as well as motor vehicle crash reports. The records division is currently staffed by BTPD Records Administrator Daria Vandergoot.

Copies of all police reports, including motor vehicle crash reports, can be picked up in person at our police headquarters. If you are unable to collect your report in person, you can request that it be emailed, faxed, or mailed to you. When requesting a report, it is helpful if you can provide our records clerk with basic information such as the incident report number, your full name, and the date the report was made. Please understand that absolutely no police reports will be released unless you have filled out an open public records request. The Boonton Township Police Department records request form can be found HERE. Please refer to the instructions at the bottom of this page regarding the best way to submit your records request once this form has been completed.

The Records Section is located in the front lobby of police headquarters and is open Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:00pm, but is closed on all major holidays. Please keep in mind that any incident which is still currently under investigation will likely not be released. If you need a Incident Verification Form please contact the Records Section.

Again, in order to receive a copy of any police report, including motor vehicle crash reports, you must complete an Open Public Records Act Form which can be found by clicking HERE. Once this form has been completed, it is recommended to drop it off to our records clerk in person, which will likely expedite your request. If you are unable to drop this form off in person, it can be mailed, faxed, or emailed to the below address:
