Please be advised that beginning on Monday May 6, 2024, Boonton Avenue will be closed between Wootton Street in the Town of Boonton, and Taylortown Road in Montville. Several portions of Boonton Township and numerous Township neighborhoods located off Boonton Avenue will be affected due to this road closure. This road closure is in regards to a natural gas installation project. The closure is expected to occur daily, Monday through Friday beginning at 8am, and re-opening at approximately 4pm each day. As of this time, there has been no formal end date announced for this project, but it is expected to last several weeks. A detour will be set in place each day, and officers will be conducting traffic control on the job site. Please expect delay's if you normally travel along this route. We greatly appreciate everyone's anticipated cooperation.
